量词重叠 Reduplication of Measure Words
汉语中很多量词可以重叠,用来强调在某个范围内的每个成员都具有某种特征,后面一般用"都"。 In Chinese, many measure words can be reduplicated to emphasize that each member within a certain scope has a certain characteristic. The word "都" is usually used after them.
(1)这些照片张张都非常好看。(= 每张照片都非常好看)
Every single one of these photos is beautiful.
(2)这些苹果个个都很大。(= 每个苹果都很大)
Every single one of these apples is large.
